OLIN LIBRARY

FRP reinforcement was needed to strengthen areas identified by Streeter Associates. FRP was identified as the best solution for this reinforcement, for it's minimal footprint on the jobsite and for the strength that it provides, without additional beams or structural solutions being added to the existing structure.

MARKLEY LOWELL

The existing building was once the Prince® Spaghetti factory, consisting of roughly three floors of open span space with thirty-foot ceilings. The Markley Group’s design for this building required the structure to be upgraded for seismic and additional strengthening above and beyond its originally intended design.

CAMBRIDGE VIADUCT

In 2019, CSC was contacted by SPS New England, Inc. to provide Carbon Fiber Reinforcement to the arches and floor beams supporting the East Cambridge Viaduct bridge to supply additional load capacity to the existing structure. The work consisted of surface preparing the structures, CFRP installation, anchors installation, and acrylic painting.

DUELING DINOS

Application of a strengthening material was needed on several beams in the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. CSC partnered with Brawley Company as our general contractor on this project. FRP wrapping was determined to be the most cost efficient and structural effective solution for this job.
